"Stormy" is, in our opinion, the perfect labrador retriever combining great looks with
one of the best personality's of any lab I have ever owned or trained. She was very easy
to train and has great instinct. In the goose pit, duck blind, or in the field hunting
pheasants and quail, STORMY does it all. She is a natural pointing lab, with a top
pedigree loaded with Field Trial champions, National champions and Top Pointing labs.
While many dogs have great ability, very few have what we refer to as a "light switch"
personality, which allows them to be completely enjoyable in the house, kennel or duck
blind and then turn around and have such strong desire and work ethic in the field.
Stormy's "light switch" personality is what we breed all of our dogs for. We believe her
greatest assets are her marking ability, high level of trainability, her rapid ability to
learn, her bird finding ability and her calm, quiet manners. She sits quietly and
patiently during training or hunting, as if to ask, "what next?" and then explodes when
sent on a mark or blind retrieve. Her Upland skills are second to none. Her kennel
manners make her an absolute joy to have around, never pacing or barking, but sitting
quietly and watching the days events. She is extremly clean in the kennel as well. Her
past two litters have proven her ability to pass on these outstanding qualities to her
offspring. She has given us absolutely everything needed in an all-around labrador and
after working with her and her offspring, they are the only kind of retrievers we feel we
should be producing for a "true" hunting partner and a life-long family companion that
anyone can enjoy and work with. Stormy finished her SR NAHRA hunt test title going 4
for 4. Stormy is dual registered with both the AKC and UKC.
